Abstract: The overall objective of this panel is to provide participants with an overview of current research activities in the area of Quality of Life Technology in Korea.  The panel will attain this objective by presenting research activities, commercial products, and governmental policy regarding the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, smart home, assistive technology, and rehabilitation therapy. The organizer will lead the panel with experience as a research faculty of the NSF Quality of Life Technology ERC in U.S.A. and panelists who are from diverse areas such as computer science, robotics, rehabilitation medicine, rehabilitation engineering, industry, and government agency will present their efforts as well as discuss about how to cooperate effectively and efficiently between different areas in order to improve the quality of life of the people through the state-of-the-art technologies.
